Washington postpones Thursday's practice in favor of dialogue on racism, social injustice
The Washington Football Team is postponing Thursday practice, they announced Wednesday, following multiple canceled pro sports events in the wake of the police shooting of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

"Friday, we can return to football. But tomorrow will be about reflection instead," head coach Ron Rivera said in a statement. "In place of our practice at FedEx Field, the players, coaches, and football staff will meet as a football family, and we will continue our open dialogue on the issues of racism and social injustice in our country."
The Detroit Lions canceled practice Tuesday to protest the Wisconsin shooting. The New York Giants delayed their practice Wednesday by 45 minutes to discuss social justice issues.
