New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans owner Gayle Benson has tested positive for COVID-19, the team's senior vice president of communications Greg Bensel told Amie Just and Ramon Antonio Vargas of The Times-Picayune.
Benson, 73, was diagnosed with the coronavirus within the last few weeks and is currently under daily medical care.
It's currently unknown whether she is displaying any symptoms.
Following the death of her husband - Tom Benson - in 2018, Gayle took over as the principle owner of the Saints and Pelicans.
Saints head coach Sean Payton tested positive for COVID-19 in March, the first such case in the NFL. Payton was cleared one week later and returned to coaching.
No other NFL owners have tested positive.
