Titans bring in former Patriots kicker Gostkowski
The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with veteran free-agent kicker Stephen Gostkowski, the team announced Thursday.
Gostkowski, 36, spent 14 seasons with the New England Patriots, winning three Super Bowls before being released this offseason.
Tennessee waived Greg Joseph in a corresponding move, meaning Gostkowski is likely to open the 2020 campaign as the club's kicker.
Gostkowski, a fourth-round pick in 2006, was one of the NFL's most productive specialists during his New England tenure. He's the franchise's all-time leader in total points and field goals made, while his 205 postseason points are second in league history behind Adam Vinatieri.
The four-time Pro Bowler missed all but four games in 2019 after sustaining a left hip injury in October. He hit on seven of his eight field-goal attempts and went 27-for-32 the year prior.
