The Jacksonville Jaguars have scheduled a free-agent visit with running back Devonta Freeman, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The development comes the same week the Jaguars released former first-round pick Leonard Fournette and on the day teams are finalizing their 53-man rosters.
The Jaguars' final lineup consisted of four running backs - Chris Thompson, Devine Ozigbo, James Robinson, and fullback Bruce Miller. The team did not designate a starter among the group.
Freeman was released by the Atlanta Falcons in March after six seasons and received an offer from the Seattle Seahawks in May, but has barely made noise for the majority of the offseason.
The 28-year-old had just 656 rushing yards and two scores in 14 games last season.
