Adams chirps Jets after Seahawks debut: 'I wasn't bored'
Jamal Adams couldn't be happier to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
The ex-New York Jets safety put together a stellar debut Sunday for the NFC West club in a 38-25 win over the Atlanta Falcons and topped it off by taking a shot at his former team.
"I wasn't bored. I was blitzing. I was having fun," Adams said postgame, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic.
New York defensive coordinator Gregg Williams suggested the Pro Bowler wouldn't enjoy playing in head coach Pete Carroll's scheme after the Jets traded Adams to the Seahawks this offseason.
But Adams looked like a natural fit in Seattle on Sunday. He racked up a team-high eight solo tackles, a sack, and two quarterback hits.
Russell Wilson and Co. also looked to be in midseason form, putting up 38 points and 383 total yards.
"I'm not used to it," Adams said of his new team's offensive output, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
The Jets' offense came out flat during a 27-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.
