Lock to undergo MRI after injuring shoulder vs. Steelers
Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock said postgame he'll undergo an MRI on his throwing shoulder after leaving Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Mike Klis of 9News.
Lock went to the locker room in the first quarter and never returned. His right arm was in a sling after the game.
The second-year signal-caller appeared to suffer the injury while being sacked by Steelers pass-rusher Bud Dupree. Lock fumbled on the play.
Denver is already without star defender Von Miller, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. Top receiver Courtland Sutton returned Sunday after missing Week 1.
Jeff Driskel replaced Lock at quarterback, tossing a pair of touchdowns and an interception. The Broncos dropped their second straight decision to open the season.
