San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo won't return for the second half of Sunday's game against the New York Jets due to an ankle injury, the team announced.
Backup Nick Mullens replaced Garoppolo.
The 49ers also ruled out running back Raheem Mostert with a knee injury.
The offensive injuries happened shortly after the 49ers ruled defensive ends Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas out during the first quarter due to knee injuries. Both players were put on a cart and taken off the field.
San Francisco was already entering Week 2 without pass-rusher Dee Ford (neck) and star tight end George Kittle (knee).
