Bentley signed a four-year contract with the Lions on Friday, Fox Sports' Aaron Wilson reports.
The Lions drafted the cornerback with their third-round pick. The former Louisiana-Lafayette star was named first-team All-Sun Belt Conference in his senior season. He tallied 71 tackles, two forced fumbles and three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. Bentley will compete for the nickelback role immediately.
