We hit on our Week 2 teaser quite comfortably, so let's use that to kick-start a nice winning run.
Here's what we've got for Week 3:
Washington Football Team @ Cleveland Browns
Line: Washington +7
Teaser line: Washington +13
The Browns came away with the win last week - despite a backdoor touchdown denying the cover - and it was never really in doubt. Now they play at home against Washington, which will offer a real chance to move above .500 and build on the momentum of last week's win.
But this one is far less straightforward for Cleveland, and, no matter how you spin it, it's hard to justify laying so many points with an offense that ranks 26th in efficiency. The Browns racked up 215 yards on the ground last week to beat the Cincinnati Bengals but won't have nearly as much success against a talented Washington front seven.
The visitors come into this week ranking first in the league in defensive efficiency and against the pass, and we've seen little from Baker Mayfield to believe he can have success against a defense that provides resistance.
Washington also ranks first in the NFL in sacks with 11 through two weeks, and Mayfield is 30th in the NFL with a 35.3 completion percentage when under pressure. Combine that with a Washington offense that's getting into a bit of a rhythm - Terry McLaurin just roasted Patrick Peterson and Antonio Gibson is gaining confidence - and there's a strong chance for an upset here. Take the 13 points.
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
Line: Lions +5.5
Teaser line: Lions +11.5
Matt Patricia is firmly placed in the hot seat, but he gets help this week with the return of Kenny Golladay sure to boost an offense that came into the season with high expectations but has looked surprisingly average thus far.
Darrell Bevell's offense relies on the deep pass, and Golladay's ability opens up the underneath balls for the likes of Marvin Jones and T.J. Hockenson, as well as D'Andre Swift, who's quickly becoming a favorite target of Matthew Stafford.
The Cardinals have looked sharp on defense but haven't exactly been tested. Arizona will find success again on offense - you can't stop Kyler Murray - but Jeff Okudah had the chance to shake off the rust last week and Desmond Trufant could return to the secondary for Detroit. The Lions played in 12 one-score games last year - including seven in eight starts by Stafford - and this has all the makings of another close one in the desert.
Full teaser: Washington +13, Lions +11.5 ($110 to win $100)
