Report: Julio's Week 3 status 'up in the air' due to hamstring injury
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has been battling a hamstring injury early in the 2020 campaign, and his status for Week 3 is "up in the air," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Jones, who has played through various injuries throughout his career, aggravated his hamstring during last week's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The star pass-catcher didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, and his official status for Sunday's matchup with the Chicago Bears has yet to be determined.
Head coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Jones will be on the sideline for practice and will be a game-time decision, according to team reporter William McFadden.
The 31-year-old was held to 24 yards on two receptions against Dallas while battling the injury after opening the season with a nine-catch, 157-yard performance against the Seattle Seahawks.
Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage will likely see a bump in targets if Jones is unable to suit up in Week 3.
