Atlanta Falcons safety Damontae Kazee suffered a torn Achilles during Monday night's contest against the Green Bay Packers, head coach Dan Quinn told 92.9 The Game, per Will McFadden of the team's official site.

Kazee sustained the injury in the second quarter. He was ultimately carted off the field and ruled out for the game.

The 27-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. The San Diego State product has recorded 10 interceptions and 13 passes defended over four campaigns in Atlanta.

Kazee's ailment is another major blow to a Falcons secondary that has been decimated by injuries. Atlanta entered Monday's game missing both of its starting safeties in Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen. Additionally, A.J. Terrell is on the reserve/COVID-19 list and Darqueze Dennard is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
