The Cleveland Browns sent star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. home Thursday due to an illness, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced, per Nate Ulrich of the Beacon Journal.
Stefanski says Beckham has not tested positive for COVID-19, and the results for his most recent test will come back Friday.
The Browns are in the thick of the AFC North race after starting the season 4-1. The 4-0 Pittsburgh Steelers lead the division, while the 4-1 Baltimore Ravens are tied with the Browns.
Cleveland and Pittsburgh are slated to face off Sunday.
Beckham has racked up 21 catches and 294 yards in five games this season. He's also snagged three touchdowns, one fewer than all of 2019.
