Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will miss Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons due to a groin injury.
The Vikings appear to be taking a cautious approach with their most important offensive weapon. The club has a bye in Week 7 and can re-evaluate Cook's health coming out of the break.
Alexander Mattison will start against the winless Falcons.
Cook has 489 yards and seven touchdowns - both of which lead the NFL - on 92 carries this season.
After Cook exited last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Mattison racked up a career-high 112 yards on 20 carries.
