Bengals trade Dunlap to Seahawks for late pick, Finney
The Cincinnati Bengals traded disgruntled defensive end Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a seventh-round pick and offensive lineman B.J. Finney, the Bengals announced Wednesday.
Dunlap made several public trade requests amid the Bengals' poor start to the season.
After Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns, the veteran appeared to list his Cincinnati home for sale on his social media accounts. A day earlier, Dunlap criticized his diminishing role and Cincinnati's defensive line rotations.
He also seemingly had a heated discussion with a member of the coaching staff during the game against the Browns.
Dunlap, who's spent his entire career in Cincinnati, is a much-needed potential boost to Seattle's pass-rush issues. He racked up 17 sacks over the last two seasons.
The Seahawks are tied for 26th with nine sacks through seven weeks. The poor production has continued from last year when the NFC West club tied for 31st with just 28 quarterback takedowns.
