Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets, the team announced Saturday.
Lee Smith and Tommy Sweeney, two other tight ends on Buffalo's active roster, were defined as close contacts with Knox, and they'll also miss the Week 7 tilt. Practice squad tight end Nate Becker will be forced to quarantine, too.
Knox was placed on the COVID-19/reserve list following the positive test. With three players ruled out, there are two Bills tight ends remaining on their active roster to play New York: Tyler Kroft and Reggie Gilliam.
Through four games in 2020, the 23-year-old Knox has caught six passes for 93 yards.
