Ravens, Stanley strike 5-year extension for reported $98.75M

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a five-year contract extension with All-Pro left tackle Ronnie Stanley, the club announced Friday, per Ryan Mink of the team's official site.

The new contract is worth $98.75 million, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. Including his 2020 salary, the deal carries a maximum value of $112.866 million and contains over $70 million in guarantees. Stanley becomes the No. 2 highest-paid offensive lineman in football, trailing only Laremy Tunsil of the Houston Texans.

"Ronnie is the mainstay on our offensive line," said general manager Eric DeCosta. "He's a shutdown left tackle who excels on the field and in our community. This is just the beginning for Ronnie, and we could not be happier for him and his family."

A first-round pick in 2016, Stanley anchored a Ravens offensive line that helped Baltimore set an NFL single-season record last year for rushing yards (3,296) and become the league's No. 1 scoring offense (33.2 points per game).

Since entering the NFL out of Notre Dame, Stanley has conceded only nine sacks in 2,332 pass-protection snaps, according to PFF.
