Report: Clowney dealing with meniscus issue, could opt for surgery
Tennessee Titans pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney is dealing with a meniscus issue, putting his status for the next two weeks in jeopardy, sources tell NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Clowney is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears after not practicing all week. The Titans will operate on a short week following the game as they play the Indianapolis Colts next Thursday.
The outside linebacker is attempting to play through the injury but has also discussed undergoing surgery, according to Garafolo.
Clowney was able to suit up in Week 8 despite multiple missed practices due to the knee injury.
The 27-year-old signed a one-year contract with Tennessee days before the season after a prolonged free agency. The South Carolina product has failed to record a sack in seven games but has performed well in run defense and generating pressures.
Harold Landry and Derick Roberson are the only other outside linebackers currently on the Titans' active roster.
