Seahawks promote Harrison, rule Carson, Hyde out
Seahawks running backs Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde will miss their third straight game after Seattle ruled them out for Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Carson and Hyde suffered foot and hamstring injuries, respectively, against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7.
However, the Seahawks will receive a boost on the defensive side of the ball, as they promoted veteran defensive tackle Damon Harrison to the active roster ahead of Sunday's contest. Seattle signed Harrison to its practice squad in early October.
Carson's and Hyde's absences leave DeeJay Dallas, Alex Collins, and Travis Homer to split backfield duties versus the Rams. Dallas has scored a touchdown in back-to-back contests, while Collins played 31% of the Seahawks' offensive snaps last week in his first game action since 2018.
Seattle made a number of other roster moves Saturday. The team placed defensive tackle Bryan Mone on injured reserve, activated defensive back Neiko Thorpe from IR, and ruled pass-rusher Benson Mayowa out for Week 10.
