New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will return from a right shoulder injury in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins, head coach Adam Gase said Friday, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

Darnold missed two games with the injury. He sat out two other games earlier in the season with a sprained AC joint in the same shoulder.

"It's been a good week for Sam," said Gase.

The return will mark the first time this season Darnold plays alongside Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman, and Denzel Mims - the Jets' top three wide receivers.

The 23-year-old has thrown for 1,045 yards with three touchdowns and six interceptions in six appearances this year.

Gase has also said a healthier lineup with Darnold and the wideouts will give 0-10 New York a chance to see "what maybe (the offense) could have been."

The Dolphins blanked the Jets 24-0 in their first meeting this season, a game Darnold didn't play.
