Report: Steelers' Conner unlikely to play Monday vs. Washington
Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is unlikely to play in the Week 13 tilt versus Washington despite being eligible to come off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Conner tested positive for the virus last week and missed Wednesday's win over the Baltimore Ravens as a result.
With the 25-year-old's status for Monday is in doubt, Benny Snell is likely to get his second straight start in the backfield, with rookie Anthony McFarland Jr. also chipping in.
Snell rushed for 60 yards on 16 carries versus Baltimore, adding three receptions for 33 yards.
Pittsburgh faced its own COVID-19 issues, canceling several practices leading up to Wednesday's game to help combat the virus.
The Steelers activated defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt from the reserve list ahead of the Week 13 matchup.
