Washington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson suffered a toe injury early in Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and did not return.

The rookie rusher was visibly limping after being tackled and had his left foot wrapped on the sideline a short time later.

Gibson has been a revelation at the helm of Washington's offense in 2020, along with star wide receiver Terry McLaurin. The first-year back is averaging 4.6 yards per attempt and scored 11 touchdowns in 12 games coming into Week 13.

Peyton Barber and J.D. McKissic split backfield duties in Gibson's absence against Pittsburgh. McKissic picked up the slack in Washington's passing game in the upset win, hauling in 10 receptions for 70 yards.
