Titans GM: 1st-rounder Wilson dealing with 'personal issues'
The Tennessee Titans placed first-round draft pick Isaiah Wilson on their non-football illness list, the team announced Wednesday.
Tennessee suspended Wilson - the 29th overall pick in this year's draft - for last Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns for violating team rules. Titans general manager Jon Robinson shed some light on the situation Wednesday.
"Currently, he is dealing with some personal issues, which will take some time for him to work through," Robinson said. "We will continue to help him and support him, with the hope that he can ultimately rejoin the team."
Wilson has played just three snaps in his rookie season, all of which came in Week 12.
The 8-4 Titans are in the midst of a playoff race and currently lead the AFC South.
