Raiders rule out 4 defenders for TNF vs. Chargers
The Las Vegas Raiders will be without four defensive contributors for Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Head coach Jon Gruden has ruled out safety Johnathan Abram, cornerback Damon Arnette, linebacker Nicholas Morrow, and defensive Clelin Ferrell, according to The Athletics Tashan Reed.
Arnette, Abram, and Morrow are all dealing with concussions. Arnette missed last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts due to his ailment, while Abram and Morrow both suffered theirs during that game. Ferrell injured his shoulder against Indianapolis and was unable to return.
Abram, 24, also missed Week 13 while battling a knee injury.
Vegas already ruled out rookie receiver Henry Ruggs on Tuesday, placing him on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The 7-6 Raiders currently sit outside a playoff spot and likely need to win at least two of their final three games to qualify in a competitive AFC.
