Giants' Bradberry out vs. Browns after hitting COVID-19 list
The New York Giants will face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday without top cornerback James Bradberry, who was placed Thursday on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced.
Bradberry was deemed a high-risk close contact to someone away from the Giants' facility who tested positive. The earliest he could be activated from reserve is Monday.
The Giants enter their Week 15 matchup - which will be featured on Sunday Night Football - trailing the Washington Football Team by one game for the NFC East lead.
Bradberry has enjoyed an excellent season with the Giants after coming over from the Carolina Panthers in free agency on a three-year, $43.5-million contract. The 27-year-old has 17 pass breakups, tied for first in the NFL, and three interceptions across 13 appearances.
The Giants will also be without offensive coordinator Jason Garrett against the Browns following a positive COVID-19 test and have tabbed tight ends coach Freddie Kitchens to call plays in his place. Kitchens served as head coach of the Browns in 2019.
