Report: Stafford plans to play through torn rib cartilage
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford intends to play with torn rib cartilage against the Tennessee Titans in Week 15, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Stafford was listed as questionable with a rib injury on Detroit's final injury report of the week, but he was reportedly preparing to suit up. The 32-year-old, who is also battling an injury to his right thumb, logged a limited practice Friday after missing the previous two days of work.
Stafford has appeared in all 13 games for the Lions this season after missing eight games in 2019 due to a back injury. The signal-caller has thrown for 3,522 yards - which ranks eighth leaguewide - to go with 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Detroit has dropped three of its last four decisions and sits in the basement of the NFC North with a 5-8 mark.
