New Orleans Saints linebacker Kwon Alexander will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his Achilles during Friday's game versus the Minnesota Vikings, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Alexander was carted off the field after suffering the injury in the third quarter.
New Orleans acquired Alexander in a midseason trade with the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso and a conditional fifth-round pick.
In six games with the Saints prior to Christmas, Alexander posted 24 tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and four pass breakups. He started all six of those contests next to Demario Davis.
