The Jacksonville Jaguars will start Mike Glennon over Gardner Minshew for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Jaguars - who are favorites for the No. 1 draft pick in 2021 following the New York Jets' first win of the season last week - started Minshew in Week 15 after sending Glennon to the bench the week prior.

Head coach Doug Marrone said Wednesday the two quarterbacks would compete for the starting role.

Minshew started the first seven games of the year before being sidelined with a hand injury. Jacksonville opted to keep Glennon in the lineup from Weeks 12 to 14, despite Minshew declaring himself healthy and ready to play.

The sophomore signal-caller has outperformed Glennon and Jake Luton this season, throwing for 2,259 yards and 16 touchdowns against five interceptions.

The Jaguars and Jets both sit at 1-13 entering Week 16, but the AFC South club holds the strength-of-schedule tiebreaker for the top selection in April's draft.

Clemson star quarterback Trevor Lawrence is widely viewed as a lock to be selected first overall.
