Washington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson is expected to return against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
However, Washington is expected to be without wide receiver Terry McLaurin due to an ankle injury, Schefter added.
McLaurin missed most of the practices this week and was listed as doubtful on the team's final injury report. The second-year star leads Washington with 1,078 yards on 80 receptions for three touchdowns this season.
Gibson's return from an ankle injury of his own, which kept him out for Week 14 and 15, gives Washington back its top rusher. He's carried the team to the tune of 659 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in his rookie campaign.
