Report: Kupp out vs. Cardinals after positive COVID-19 test
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp won't be available versus the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17 due to a positive COVID-19 test, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Kupp landed on the COVID-19 reserve list Tuesday, but the team didn't say whether he tested positive. Los Angeles could have reinstated Kupp in time to play the regular-season finale if he had simply been in close contact with someone who tested positive.
The Rams can clinch a wild-card spot Sunday with a win over the Cardinals. If the club loses, they'll need a loss from the Chicago Bears to get in. Los Angeles will also face Arizona without quarterback Jared Goff, who underwent thumb surgery after Week 16.
Kupp, who leads the Rams in receiving with 92 catches and 974 yards, hasn't missed a contest since tearing his ACL in 2018.
Los Angeles has dropped back-to-back contests after going 9-4 through its first 13 games. The Rams took the first meeting with the Cardinals this season, winning 38-28 in Week 13.
