Sanders, Cox, Jackson among 9 Eagles players ruled out vs. Washington
If the Philadelphia Eagles are to play spoiler in Week 17, they'll have to do it with a significantly shorthanded roster.
Running back Miles Sanders (knee), defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (neck), wide receiver DeSean Jackson (ankle), and tight end Dallas Goedert (calf) are among nine Eagles players who won't play in Sunday night's game against the Washington Football Team.
Defensive end Derek Barnett (calf), offensive tackle Jordan Mailata (concussion), tight end Richard Rodgers (ankle), and linebackers Shaun Bradley (neck) and Duke Riley (biceps) were also ruled out Friday.
Washington can secure the NFC East with a win in the final game of the regular season. Philadelphia was eliminated from playoff contention after losing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16.
If the Eagles beat Washington in Week 17, the winner of the earlier game between Dallas and the New York Giants will earn a postseason berth.
