Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Antoine Winfield Jr. doesn't regret taking a 15-yard penalty for taunting Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill with a peace sign near the end of Super Bowl LV.

"The taunting, man, it's something I had to do," the safety said postgame, according to James Palmer of NFL Network. "When we played them earlier, Hill went off on us. He backflipped right in front of my face and give me the (deuces).

"So it was only right that I gave him the (deuces) right back to him. It felt amazing to be able to do that."

Winfield made the gesture after breaking up a fourth-down pass intended for Hill with 3:58 left in the fourth quarter. The Buccaneers held a comfortable 31-9 lead over the Chiefs, and they won the game by the same score.

Hill is known for taunting opponents with the two-fingered salute when he scores touchdowns. He notched 13 receptions for 269 yards and three touchdowns when the Chiefs and Buccaneers met in Week 12 this season. But the pass-catcher was held to seven catches for 73 yards during the Super Bowl, with most of his damage coming when the score was out of reach.

Winfield came down with one of Patrick Mahomes' two interceptions in the NFL's season finale, helping the Buccaneers win their first Super Bowl since 2002.
