Despite contemplating retirement over the last two offseasons, Jason Kelce announced Friday that he's returning to the Philadelphia Eagles for the upcoming campaign.
Philadelphia and the veteran center agreed on a restructured deal for 2021 worth $9 million fully guaranteed, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It could be worth up to $12 million, Rapoport adds.
Kelce has been a starter since the Eagles drafted him in the sixth round in 2011. He's played in 105 straight games and helped the team capture Super Bowl LII.
The 33-year-old is widely regarded as one of the NFL's premier centers, earning three straight All-Pro selections between 2017-2019 along with four Pro Bowl berths.
General manager Howie Roseman has been focused on alleviating Philadelphia's salary-cap concerns. The Eagles also restructured cornerback Darius Slay's contract Friday and are in the process of reworking right tackle Lane Johnson's deal, according to team reporter Derrick Gunn.
