Report: Gurley visiting Lions
The Detroit Lions are hosting free-agent running back Todd Gurley on Thursday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Gurley spent the 2020 season with Atlanta Falcons and rushed for a career-low 678 yards to go along with nine touchdowns. He also had 25 receptions for 164 receiving yards.
If the 26-year-old signs in Detroit, he would reunite with former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
Gurley was named Offensive Rookie of the Year after the Rams selected him 10th overall in the 2015 draft. The Georgia product was the focal point of the Rams' offense, rushing for 5,404 yards and 58 touchdowns while averaging 4.3 yards per carry through five seasons.
Detroit currently has 2020 second-round pick D'Andre Swift and free-agent signee Jamaal Williams headlining its tailback group.
