Report: Rams, Titans interested in Julio Jones
The Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans are the latest suitors interested in acquiring Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
The two teams have talked to the Falcons about Jones, though a trade doesn't seem to be imminent, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. The Titans are reportedly considered long shots to land him.
The 32-year-old reportedly asked to be traded from the Falcons earlier this offseason. The pass-catcher seemed to confirm his impending departure last week on Fox's "Undisputed," saying he's "outta there."
The Falcons are reportedly entertaining offers, and the club is asking for a first-round pick in exchange for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
Los Angeles may be at a disadvantage in the bidding war to add the All-Pro wideout. The Rams don’t hold a first-round selection in 2022 or 2023 following their blockbuster deal to bring in quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Jones is set to earn $15.3 million in 2021. Both the Titans and Rams would need to create space to fit in the disgruntled star. The Rams currently hold $7.82 million in space, while the Titans are working with just $3.63 million.
