Tom Brady's rookie card continues to set records at auction.
An autographed Brady 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket was auctioned off by Lelands on Friday night for just over $3.1 million, setting a new all-time record for a football card. The card was graded a mint nine with an autograph grade of 10.
This marks the third time this year that a copy of this particular Brady card has set a new record for the most expensive football card. Two other copies of the card with slightly lower grades sold for $1.32 million in March and $2.25 million in April.
Friday's sale also moves Brady back onto the list of the 10 most expensive sports trading cards ever sold.
