Rodgers coy on Week 1 status
Aaron Rodgers kept his cards close to the vest Tuesday when asked if he'll be quarterbacking the Green Bay Packers when the 2021 season begins.
"I don't know, we'll see," the reigning MVP said with a smile during "The Match" on Tuesday.
Rodgers skipped the Packers' entire offseason program amid a rift fueled by philosophical differences with the franchise. Green Bay has shown no willingness to engage in trade talks for its superstar passer, who's spent his entire career with the Packers.
Rodgers then attempted to shift the attention to his course opponent, Tom Brady.
"I'm just having a good time out here with Tom," Rodgers said, still smiling. "I'm trying to talk to him about whether he's gonna keep playing or not."
Rodgers also showed off his arm for the cameras, tossing a football back and forth for a bit while talking mechanics with his Tampa Bay Buccaneers counterpart.
The Packers went 26-6 over the last two seasons, reaching the NFC title game in both years.
