Report: Ruggs facing additional charges stemming from fatal crash
Henry Ruggs faces three additional charges, including two felonies, for the car crash that left a woman in Las Vegas dead Tuesday, according to the Las Vegas Journal-Review's Rio Lacanlale.
Prosecutors intend to charge the former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver with felonies for DUI and reckless driving since his girlfriend sustained injuries in the wreck and with a misdemeanor for possession of a firearm while under the influence.
Ruggs initially faced two charges for driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and reckless driving. He allegedly drove 156 mph with a blood-alcohol content twice Nevada's legal limit when he struck a Toyota Rav4 that contained Tina Tintor and her dog.
In total, Ruggs could face up to 46 years in prison if convicted on all five counts, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
The Raiders released Ruggs, one of their two first-round picks in 2020, hours after the incident.
