Arians lauds Cowboys' WRs: 'That threesome might be the best'
Thursday's NFL season opener between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys features perhaps the league's two best receiving corps.
You've no doubt seen the question posed on social media this offseason: Which receiving trio is the league's best?
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians may give the edge to the Cowboys.
"It's a huge challenge. They're loaded, and they all do different things," Arians said of Cowboys wideouts Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup on Sunday.
"I think that threesome might be the best," he continued. "I'll argue that ours might be, too. It's a hell of a challenge when you have that many guys."
The trio produced great numbers in 2020, even though the Cowboys were without star quarterback Dak Prescott for much of the season. But the defending Super Bowl champion Buccaneers boast a marquee unit of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown.
2020 stats | Yards | TDs |
---|---|---|
Amari Cooper | 1114 | 5 |
CeeDee Lamb | 935 | 5 |
Michael Gallup | 843 | 5 |
Mike Evans | 1006 | 13 |
Chris Godwin | 840 | 7 |
Antonio Brown | 483 | 4 |
