Jackson: 'It feels good to get that monkey off our back' beating Chiefs

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens conquered their kryptonite Sunday night, defeating the AFC powerhouse Kansas City Chiefs in thrilling comeback fashion.

The Ravens were 0-3 against the Chiefs with Jackson under center before battling back for a 36-35 victory.

"It feels good to get that monkey off our back," Jackson said after the game.

The Ravens were in danger of falling to 0-2 after an overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in the season opener.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had never lost or thrown an interception in September. However, a Mahomes turnover helped spur 12 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to pull out the win for Baltimore.

But Jackson was quick to keep things in perspective after the game, switching his focus to the Ravens' Week 3 opponent: the Detroit Lions.

"Gotta move on to Detroit now. We ain't win the Super Bowl yet. It's just one game," he said.
