Panthers' Horn broke foot in win over Texans
Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said cornerback Jaycee Horn "broke some bones in his foot" in Thursday's win over the Houston Texans, according to NFL Network's James Palmer.
The Panthers didn't reveal a timetable for the rookie's return, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Horn could undergo surgery, with a two-to-three month recovery likely.
Horn went for X-rays after being carted to the locker room partway through the game at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Drafted eighth overall out of South Carolina, Horn was off to a promising start this season and recorded his first career interception in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints.
The Panthers also lost offensive star Christian McCaffrey to a hamstring injury on Thursday Night Football but won the game 24-9.
