Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark fractured his ankle during the opening minutes of Thursday Night Football, head coach Urban Meyer said postgame, according to team reporter Ashlyn Sullivan.

The injury will keep him out indefinitely, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Chark was carted off the field with an ankle injury after James Robinson fell into the back of his left leg at the end of a run versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

The wideout recorded seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns over the first three contests of 2021. He topped 1,000 receiving yards in 2019, but Chark produced a more modest 706 yards and five touchdowns last year.

Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault could take on even larger roles with Chark on the shelf.
