Bears' starting QB to be game-time decision vs. Lions
Coach Matt Nagy said the Chicago Bears' Week 4 starting quarterback will be a game-time decision, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Bears signal-caller Andy Dalton is listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions with a lingering knee injury.
Dalton, who is dealing with a bone bruise in his right knee, said "I feel really good where I'm at," according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs.
The 33-year-old passer sat out the Bears' 26-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.
Rookie Justin Fields received his first career starting nod against the Browns. The 22-year-old signal-caller struggled to produce any productivity after getting sacked nine times. He ended with six passes for 68 yards and zero touchdowns.
Fields had been dealing with an injured thumb throughout the week, but was not listed on the Bears' final injury report.
"He's going to have a lot of different games in his career, and that one was a rough one. And I put that on me," Nagy said, per NFL.com’s Kevin Patra. "That's on me for why that went that way. I've got to learn from that. And we've got to learn from that."
The Bears come into the matchup against their NFC North rivals with the worst passing yards per game at 90.7.
