Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields will get his second career start Sunday against the Detroit Lions, the team announced Saturday.
Andy Dalton, who's dealing with a bone bruise in his knee, was made inactive after being downgraded from questionable to doubtful Saturday.
Fields struggled in his first NFL start - a blowout loss to the Cleveland Browns. He was sacked nine times and completed just six passes for 68 yards and zero touchdowns.
Nick Foles will likely back up Fields with Dalton ailing.
Head coach Matt Nagy previously said that Dalton, who joined the Bears as a free agent in the offseason and was under center for the first two games, will return to the starting lineup when healthy.
