Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow will undergo season-ending toe surgery, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Lions placed Ragnow on injured reserve after Week 4, sidelining him for a minimum of three games. One of the NFL's top centers, Ragnow made his first Pro Bowl in 2020.
Detroit has dealt with injuries along the offensive line throughout the early portion of the schedule. Left tackle Taylor Decker could return from a hand injury in Week 6, which would allow rookie Penei Sewell to swing to the right side.
Before the season, Ragnow signed a four-year, $54-million extension with the Lions that runs through the 2026 season.
