Washington to bring custom benches to remaining road games
The Washington Football Team is taking a page out of their arch rival's playbook.
Washington will bring its own benches to its final three road games of the season - Tuesday against the Philadelphia Eagles, Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys, and Week 18 against the New York Giants.
Dallas made waves by bringing its own custom-built benches to last week's win against Washington after apparently receiving a tip from another club about the opposing benches at FedEx Field having unreliable heating.
The 10-4 Cowboys are on the precipice of earning their first NFC East crown since 2018 and are in the running for the conference's No. 1 seed.
Meanwhile, Washington and Philadelphia both sit at 6-7 coming into Tuesday's pivotal rescheduled game.
The winner will likely be in a three-team battle with the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings for the final NFC wild-card spot, while the loser will see its playoff odds drop to below 10%, according to FiveThirtyEight.
