Quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to be healthy enough to play against Washington Football Team in Week 15 following the Philadelphia Eagles' bye, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Hurts missed last week with an ankle injury. Gardner Minshew got the start and impressed in a win over the New York Jets, completing 20 of 25 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns.

While Minshew's performance wasn't enough to create a quarterback controversy in Philadelphia, it could lead to trade interest in the young signal-caller in the offseason, adds Rapoport.

Minshew, who was acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in August for a sixth-round pick, is under contract for one more season.

The Eagles reportedly already received calls for their backup this year. The Carolina Panthers inquired about a move for Minshew prior to the trade deadline and before adding Cam Newton and Matt Barkley.
