Browns' Hunt unlikely to play vs. Raiders
Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt is considered week-to-week with an ankle injury, head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
He is unlikely to play Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders, Stefanski said.
Hunt was injured while attempting to make a catch on third down in the first quarter of the Browns' 24-22 win over the Ravens. He left the game and did not return.
The former Pro Bowler reportedly could have returned to the contest if necessary, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. Hunt left the game with 5 rushing yards on two carries to go along with two receptions for 13 yards.
With Hunt expected to be sidelined in Week 15, the Browns will likely rely on Nick Chubb and D'Ernest Johnson in the backfield.
Hunt missed time earlier this season when he was placed on injured reserve after sustaining a calf injury in Week 6.
He's rushed for 386 yards and five touchdowns in 2021. He has also hauled in 22 receptions for 174 yards.
