Browns place Landry, 7 others on COVID-19 list
The Cleveland Browns placed eight players on the COVID-19 reserve Tuesday, including standout wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
Four of the eight listed players are starters, while seven of the eight are on the offensive side of the ball:
- WR Jarvis Landry
- G Wyatt Teller
- OT Jedrick Wills
- TE Austin Hooper
- DE Takkarist McKinley
- G Drew Forbes
- WR JoJo Natson (practice squad)
- TE Ross Travis (practice squad)
The NFL placed the Browns in enhanced COVID-19 protocols, forcing all personnel to wear masks in the facility. The team is conducting all meetings virtually. Cleveland is gearing up to face the Las Vegas Raiders in four days as the NFL kicks off its late-season Saturday package.
In addition to potentially playing without Landry, Cleveland is in danger of missing its top three tight ends. Hooper joined David Njoku on reserve, while Harrison Bryant is battling an ankle injury.
The NFL has experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases recently, with 37 players from around the league testing positive Monday.
