Report: Lions' Hockenson out for season

Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson underwent thumb surgery and will be out for the remainder of the 2021 season, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Hockenson sustained the injury on Dec. 5 in a win against the Minnesota Vikings and hasn't been active for the Lions since.
The 24-year-old had 61 receptions for 583 yards and four touchdowns this season, including a touchdown in each of his last two games played.
Backup tight ends Shane Zylstra and Brock Wright will share the workload for the rest of the season. Both received targets against the Denver Broncos last weekend with Hockenson inactive.
