Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham is expected to be discharged from the hospital Friday after being diagnosed with a concussion, the team announced.

Parham was stretchered off the field during Thursday Night Football after his head slammed against the turf, and he appeared to be knocked unconscious. His arms shook as medical personnel wheeled him off, and players from both the Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs showed concern.

The Chargers said Parham is alert and resting comfortably at the UCLA Harbor Medical Center. He stayed at the facility overnight for observation.

Parham has recorded 20 receptions for 190 yards and three touchdowns on the season. The 24-year-old is in his second year in L.A.
